This is a pleasant cooling massage cream, but I have a hard time seeing the value as a muscle and joint care product.The things I like are real. The cream sits nicely on my skin, spreads cleanly, and does not feel greasy or messy. The menthol sensation is also noticeable and fairly persistent. It gives a clear cooling effect without feeling as harsh as some stronger topical pain products.The applicator is probably my favorite part. I have used other roll-on products with a single roller ball, and this multi-ball head gives a much better massage effect. It is not just a cleaner way to apply the cream. It actually adds pressure and makes the product more useful around areas like forearms, elbows, knees, calves, shoulders, or other smaller sore spots, even the back of one's hands. For me, that is the best feature.Where I struggle is with the product positioning. The peptide-powered recovery angle does not mean much to me in actual use. I feel this as a cooling menthol massage cream, not as a peptide product. Maybe the peptides have some skin-conditioning role, but for muscle and joint discomfort, they do not seem like the main reason this works.I also wish the product were more transparent about potency. Other topical analgesic roll-ons I use list their active ingredients and percentages clearly in a Drug Facts format. With this one, the menthol effect is there, but I do not know how strong it is from the label. It also does not give me the same deeper, more penetrating relief I get from more traditional medicated roll-ons.I like the skin feel, the persistent cooling, and especially the multi-roller applicator. But at this size and price, I can't find a strong reason to choose it as my main pain-relief product.I went with 3 stars because the product does have real strengths: the cooling effect lasts, the cream feels nice on skin, and the multi-roller applicator is genuinely useful. But as a muscle and joint care product, I find it only moderately effective, less transparent than traditional topical analgesics, and very expensive for the small amount provided.

I tried this PEP plus STRYDE recovery cream after a workout when my muscles were acting like they filed complaints against me. The cooling menthol kicks in fast and feels refreshing without turning my skin into an ice cube. The roller applicator is actually fun to use and saves your hands from getting messy. It is rather effective and absorbs quickly and does not leave that greasy “I buttered myself” feeling.Pros are fast cooling sensation, easy roller application, and lightweight non greasy texture. Cons are the menthol smell hangs around a bit and the cooling effect may feel strong on sensitive skin. Overall it feels like a handy little post workout sidekick for sore, cranky muscles.

I have to start with I love the way that this container operates. It has a solid locking twisting cap. To try to explain you turn the top portion from the off to on position with a 180° twist. In the position, a simple squeeze of the tube disperses some through the center of the cluster of six roller balls. It does not take much, then twist the top back to off. After that, you just robbed the product on using the roller balls you never have to touch it. This is the cleanest dispensing mechanism I have ever seen, and it works flawlessly. I was very impressed with his operation. The product itself has a very slight menthol scent. It is hardly noticeable once it is applied. Once applied it provides a very hot and cool sensation to the area rubbed. It provides a typical relaxation to the sore muscle area effectively. Given the packaging in the way that this product dispenses and works I feel it’s a pretty good value. I don’t think I would hesitate to purchase it again.

The Pep + Stryde Peptide + Menthol Topical Cream arrived in plastic sealed tube packaging, much, much smaller than anticipated. The full sized 1 fluid ounce tube measures in at 3" x 1.5" x 0.75" only.Breaking the seal open was a task and a half, took me entirely too long to realize there was no "zip" side to grab plastic and simply pull perforated part down. It's mainly down to not having my glasses on and also assuming that's how plastic seals are done these days.When I took the cap off, once more I was bewildered by the looming thought of may be doing something wrong: I tried turning the lock-cap mechanism in 'ON' position and the whole cap screwed out. Meanwhile I'm irritated about a sore muscle in my neck... Don't worry, I didn't pull it at the gym, oh no. I just slept wrong.The built-in applicator has 6 tiny metal rollerballs halfway embedded to evenly distribute gel textured lotion. It is not a cream. The angled tip probably makes application a tad easier. I applied it to my neck and wow, I felt absolutely nothing. Nothing at all for a good 15 minutes. Now I have years of experience with cooling rollers, menthol based ointments for sore muscles/aches and pains, I've never had one that didn't provide me with immediate minty relief.After some time I could feel gentle tingling and cooling. Operative word being gentle. Much too gentle. The sensation is short-lived and while it does provide a temporary mild cooling effect, it's just not what I'm used to from other national brand OTC products.Within 2 hours I can no longer feel anything, the cooking along with the mint is gone. Look, I usually get really annoyed by the overwhelming peppermint oil scent of similar products but credit where credit is due, there was none here. Big plus!Tldr: I personally am not a fan of this cooling gel, I believe it to be poor value for money, it provides me with only a very mild cooling sensation and although there's no annoying minty scent, I like my coolant to carry me through the day. Also the full-sized tube is pocket-sized, it's so small. While the formula is non-greasy and absorbed well, the design of tube makes no sense, make sure to twist into 'ON/OFF' position properly else it'll leak. Also make sure you're not twisting the entire cap off (I constantly do this, terrible design. All in all I wouldn't recommend, there are far better cooling profits on the market that are larger in size and lower in price.PS: there are two peptides in this formula and I still don't know what's their benefit.

Here's my experience: I've been dealing with shoulder pain, mainly from a bone spur in my right shoulder, with my left shoulder compensating. I'm scheduled for surgery this June. I used this cream today, and initially, I noticed a strong menthol scent but no immediate effects. After about 3 minutes, I felt a cooling sensation. Then, 30 minutes later, the pain in my shoulders was significantly reduced! My only minor complaint is the price, but I understand that effective topical ointments often come at a cost. I give it a 4 out of 5. I would definitely purchase it again because it works so well. One more thing: the cap was a bit tricky to figure out – you need to twist only the top part to dispense the cream with the rollerballs. I attribute that to user error on my end.

I used this after a long workout and also on my shoulders after sleeping weird and it gives a really nice cooling feeling without being super overpowering like some menthol creams are. The roller applicator is actually pretty convenient because you dont have to get cream all over your hands and it helps massage the area at the same time. It absorbs pretty fast and didnt leave my skin greasy or sticky which I liked alot because I hate when products feel heavy after putting them on. The cooling sensation kicked in pretty quick and made my muscles feel more relaxed after awhile. It’s also small enough to throw in a gym bag or purse without taking up much room. I can see myself using this alot after workouts, long days walking around, or even just random aches from getting older lol.

I have been using it on my knee to soothe the pain in my ligaments and it has been working well!

So far so good but even for the price it does not go far enough to get 5 plus stars—hard to tell how good it is as use so many topical gels for injuries—a shame you do not compare with others so we as consumers can be taken for a ride and when so small amount you are unable to determine if it is doing good things after finishing each canister.

I used STRYDE and really liked a lot. So much so, I ordered two of each before we left Carlsbad, on the 10th. Haven't arrived yet, but definitely looking forward to using your product for sure... Great stuff.

I put some of the Icy Cool on my tennis elbow, omg, its been bothering me for months. I wont say its healed but its for sure reduced the amount of pain so much. So crazy!
